Marijuana possession as a crime/decriminalization

I am high as I write this and I wonder if Marijuana use is criminalized because many criminals are caught with it or because it alters your state of mind. Either way, Marijuana has been decriminalized in most states, and if not decriminalized, medical Marijuana is allowed use. In fact, Marijuana is only fully illegal in 6 states according to www.disa.com which is quite the opposite from what it was 50 years ago.

Being decriminalized means lessening or doing away with criminal penalties for something. This however still means that in states where Marijuana is decriminalized and not yet legal; there are regulations on how much you may carry/have on you. I think it’s safe to say that it’s only a matter of time before the 6 remaining states jump on board as we are on our way to federal decriminalization.
