Unlike most drugs, there is little to no evidence that the use of marijuana poses a risk to public safety. In fact, people who are high are usually less likely to commit a crime. I mean when you’re high, happy, and relaxed what reason is there to commit a crime? When it comes to other drugs like alcohol, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, or basically any pill the risk of crime goes up significantly.

The problems we see with other drugs are insane. People will kill each other, steal, put lives at risk and engage in dangerous behaviors to get their hands on their drug of choice. These issues don’t happen with marijuana users for a number of reasons and the main one is that weed is not addictive. In addition, marijuana is much easier to obtain, less expensive, and less dangerous to be under the influence of than all other recreational drugs. So the next time you hear an argument against marijuana, bring up the fact that unlike every other recreational drug, marijuana use poses little to no threat to public safety.
